Lead Pastor | David Fitzgerald

David was born in West Virginia, but grew up in the Central Florida Area where his dad was and still is a pastor. He graduated from Florida Christian College with a degree in preaching and counseling in 2005, and later went on to complete his MBA at Belhaven University. He served for twelve years at First Christian Church of Winter Park, now known as Encounter Christian Church. He interned and was hired right out of Bible college as the Children and Youth Pastor, and eventually served as the lead preaching pastor. He married his wife Megan in 2010, and they have three children, Hannah, Micah, and Myah.

Watching the example his parents set as servant leaders, David has always desired to go, serve, and lead. Through international and domestic mission trips, David’s heart has always been for those that need to hear the gospel.

In 2016, Tomoka Christian Church, approached David and asked him to go. They asked him to step out in faith and make Palm Bay his mission field. In partnership with Tomoka Christian Church, David left with his family to help Palm Bay Christian Church be rebirthed as a satellite campus of Tomoka.

After 6 years of growth, stability, and loving the community, the church was healthy and ready to be released as an independent church. City Church Space Coast was established on July 1, 2023. David’s desire is for people to find hope in Jesus, to connect with a community of believers, and to sacrificially serve others.
